How we did it! Step #1: We created a great-tasting beer. Step #2: We set a unique menu to compliment my family’s New Mexican experience with Soul. So we created New Mexican Soul food.

Our goal is perfection and we hit it every time, whether you are drinking the brews we craft right here in house or enjoying our New Mexican Hot Chicken. We intentionally added New Mexico Hot Red Chile to our spice recipe along with cayenne but we removed the the sugar found in Nashville Chicken to come up with a spice blend designed for New Mexican palates. Our Hot Chicken can not be found anywhere but at Nexus. We claim the title of best restaurant and brewery in Albuquerque because we’ve earned it.

What is New Mexican Soul Food?

It’s the fusion of spicy New Mexican cuisine and traditional soul food to create one unbelievable flavor experience only available at our two locations in Albuquerque. We take our time to cook our Gumbo and Red Beans & Rice then top them off with fresh pico de gallo and cajun spices to bring on the heat. When you take two of the world’s most flavorful cuisines and combine them, you get something truly special.

  • IMPERIAL CREAM ALE Our World Beer Cup Silver Medal Winner & GABF Gold Medal Winner! Crisp, smooth, light, and packing one hell of a punch. 9.3% ABV 16 IBU

  • HONEY CHAMOMILE WHEAT Local B’s honey and chamomile flowers make this wheat beer slightly sweet and aromatically refreshing. A 2015 Great American Beer Festival silver medal winner, and winner of the Gold Medal for the World Beer Cup! 6.0% ABV 16 IBU

  • SCOTCH ALE Our Flagship Beer! A strong very malty deep brown ale. Malt flavor predominates with nutty flavors mingling within. 7.0% ABV 28 IBU

  • RED ALE 2.0 Our red ale is back with a little tweak, a balanced red-colored ale made with flaked rye and American hops. 6.9% ABV 49 IBU

  • NEXUS IPA A big bold American IPA. A light golden color with a big hoppy/citrusy finish. Made in West Coast tradition with lots of citrusy and piney hops. 6.9% ABV 85 IBU

  • CHOCOLATE PORTER Full flavored and voluptuous. This roasty English-style dark ale can accompany your favorite grilled dish or serve as a treat on its own. 4.9% ABV 30 IBU

  • CLASS M MARZEN This March beers signals the change in the seasons! This bier is brewed in the style of German tradition that creates a toasty, sweet yet slightly dry finish with cereal and straw notes. The medium malt body takes the forefront and will leave your stein in need of a refill. 6.1% ABV 26 IBU
  • BAJORAN SINGLE This Belgian single, named after the Bajoran species from the planet Bajor, pours as a bright gold with a persistent white lace foam. It was brewed with Hallertau Blanc hops to provide light floral esters of gooseberry and lemongrass. 5.6% ABV 33 IBU
  • DEEP SPACE 9.3 We love our loyal customers! We’re re-introducing our Belgian Dark Strong as the Deep Space 9.3, a name suggested by one of our customers! This rich, dark Belgian delight was brewed with 40 pounds of blackstrap molasses. It imbibes a malty-rich and complex flavor of dark fruit and sweet molasses in a beautiful brown hue. 9.3% ABV 29 IBU
  • NEW MEXICO SNOW STORM IPA New Mexico Snow Storm IPA Our New Mexico Snow IPA and Warp Bubble IPA combine to bring you this season’s Snow Storm IPA. Three pounds per barrel ach of Cryo Mosiac and Pop Hops blend together to make this tropical, stone fruit blizzard. Some people don’t like snow, but that’s OK. This beer is not for everyone. 7.2% ABV 36 IBU

Live music is featured primarily at Nexus Blue Smokehouse, which has a stage and is our regular music venue. Nexus Brewery (Pan Am) hosts live music on special occasions only. Band members receive $20 food and drink comps per person. Please include your rate for a 2-hour or 3-hour performance. Nexus does not provide a sound system.

Nexus offers community room reservations for large parties with at least 24 hours’ notice. Availability is limited, especially on Fridays and Saturdays after 5:00 PM. Requests are not confirmed until you hear back from our team.
